Your information is evidence, not inventory.
Hello! Finance is a private personal-finance workspace. We use your information only to provide the features you choose to use and to keep those features secure.
Information we handle
This can include account and transaction information you provide, receipts and invoices you save, and service-connection details required to operate integrations.
Gmail connection
Gmail access is optional, owner-only and read-only. Hello! Finance requests only gmail.readonly access. It cannot send, mark, move, edit or delete your messages.
When connected, Hello! Finance searches normal Gmail mail from up to the preceding 12 months for finance-related messages. Spam and Trash are excluded. Message bodies are processed transiently to identify possible finance facts and are not stored.
For relevant candidates we may retain sanitised sender details, subject, snippet, dates, a Gmail link, extracted finance facts and attachment metadata. Attachment files are fetched only when you explicitly choose to save a supported attachment as a receipt or invoice.
Retention and deletion
Imported private mail evidence is retained for 12 months from import. Disconnecting Gmail revokes the grant where Google permits and deletes the connection, stored credentials and associated private mail evidence. Receipts or invoices you explicitly promoted are separate finance records and follow their own lifecycle.
Security
OAuth credentials are encrypted at rest and are never exposed to the browser. Google push notifications are authenticated before processing. Access to stored evidence is restricted to its owner and household boundary.
Google API Limited Use
Hello! Finance's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used for advertising, sold, or used to train general-purpose AI models.
Your choices
You can decline Gmail access, disconnect it from Settings at any time, or revoke Hello! Finance from your Google Account permissions. You remain responsible for confirming suggestions before they become finance records.
